October 2018 Favourites

I cant quite believe that we are at the end of another month, this year has gone crazy fast! I thought I would start sharing my monthly favourites. So here is what I’ve been loving in October!

Killing Eve – I am absolutely addicted to this BBC series, my husband and I both really enjoyed it and were hooked from the start. Without giving too much away, its about a hit women/serial killer and Eve’s pursue of finding her. Fantastic acting, awesome story line , witty yet serious…just simply brilliant.

Walks – There is something special about walking with the leaves at your feet and the sun in the sky. We are very lucky to live in the beautiful Essex countryside so at least once a week we have been going on a family walk through the woods & along the fields. Rory calls it our ‘adventure walks’. We spot the fallen conkers and pine cones, run through the crisp leaves and keep an eye out for any animals and birds.

Books

The Nature pop-ups books written by Libby Walden and Illustrated by Clover Robin have been a huge hit. We have ‘On the Mountain‘ and ‘Across the Savannah‘. They are simply stunning non fiction children’s books documenting an adventure through the Savannah and the Mountain. The books are filled with gorgeous artwork, interesting facts yet are still full of fun. Rory really enjoyed seeing the animals spring to life off the page. I really hope there will be more of these books to explore soon. They are available from Amazon and all large bookstores.

Supermarket Clothes – If you follow me on Instagram you will know that I have purchased a few new items from the Tesco F&F & Asda George range the last few months. The supermarkets are absolutely smashing the Autumn wardrobe. I picked up the Leopard Print shirt dress and Rainbow jumper in Tesco and the yellow leopard dress from Asda. They are all great quality and I know I will get so much wear out of them!

Candles – With the nights drawing in its most definitely candle season! Is there anything better then curling up on the sofa under a soft ,cuddly blanket with fairy lights and candles burning. Bliss! I have a little drawer dedicated to wax melts and candles but I have purchased a few more over the last month. The Aldi candles (No 3 being my fave) will always be ones I reach for first but sometimes I like to mix it up. Where is your favorite place to purchase Candles?

Cupid Box Date – When was the last time you and your loved one had a date night? A date night which didn’t involve leaving the house or the need for a babysitter! If your anything like us it was probably 6 months ago. Well no need anymore! The Cupid Date Box gets delivered straight to your house and is full with a whole evening’s worth of fun filled entertainment for you and your partner.  We had such a lovely romantic evening with the Paris themed October box. We started by setting the scene with the playlist they suggested and candle they sent then continued the evening by exploring Paris, Building the Notre Damn, Painting the Mona Lisa and cooking delicious pancakes all whilst reminiscing our favorite memories and remembering why we fell in love. It was a magical evening in the comfort of our own home, just what the doctor ordered and I cant wait to do it again!
